Unreal Numbers Definition, Properties and Question Answer

Unreal Numbers

If you are going to read information about Unreal Numbers on this page, then definitely read the post completely.

On the previous page, I have shared the information about Whole Number and Integer Number, so read those posts also.

Let us read and understand all the information on Unreal Numbers on this page.

What are Unreal Numbers

If the Square of a Number is a negative number, then such numbers are called Unreal Numbers.

In other words – numbers made up of Real Numbers and Unreal Numbers are called unreal numbers.

Example :- √-3, √-5, √-3/4, √7/-13, √11/-17

Real Numbers are Written as :- √-3, √-5, √-3/4, √7/-13, √11/-17.

Complex Number

An imaginary number or an imaginary number is a complex number whose real part is zero.

Imaginary Numbers or imaginary numbers are written as multiplication of unit i. which is defined by its Property i = √-1. The square of an imaginary number is zero or negative.

For example :- 3 + √-5, 5 + √-7, 9 + √-13

3 + √-5, 5 + √-7, 9 + √-13 are called complex numbers.

Example :- 4i, 5i, 7i

4i is an imaginary number whose square is -16.

Adding an imaginary number 4i to a real number 5 gives the complex number 5 + 4i.

5i is an imaginary number whose square is -25.

Adding an imaginary number 5i to a real number 4 gives the complex number 4 + 5i.

7i is an imaginary number whose square is -49.

Adding the imaginary number 7i to a real number 11 gives the complex number 11 + 7i.
