Therefore, the value of 2 times 12 cube plus 5 is 3461.

Example 3. Find the volume of a sphere having radius of 13 in.

Solution : Volume of a sphere = 4/3 π R3
⇒ V = 4/3 π R3 = 4/3 × 3.14 × 133
⇒ V = 1.333 × 3.14 × 2197 = 9195.8 in3
Therefore, the volume of the sphere is 9195.8 in3

Example 4. If a cube has a side of length 25 inches. Find the volume of the cube in cubic inches.

Solution : Volume of the cube = a3 = 253
Using values from cube 1 to 70 chart;
i.e. V = 15625
Therefore, the volume of the cube = 15625 inches3.

Example 5. Evaluate 2 times 2 cube plus 3.

Solution : 2 × 23 + 3 = 2 × 8 + 3 = 19
Therefore, the value of 2 times 2 cube plus 3 is 19.

Example 6. Find the volume of a sphere having radius of 15 in.

Solution : Volume of a sphere = 4/3 π R3
⇒ V = 4/3 π R3 = 4/3 × 3.14 × 153
⇒ V = 4/3 × 3.14 × 3375 = 14130 in3
Therefore, the volume of the sphere is 14130 in3
